God day list members

I work in IT at a local collage an due to recant incidents we
tightened our security policy by switching over from a "permit if not
deny" to a "deny if not permit" policy for our static IP filter in the
router. This of course caused some problems for some of the teachers
that used MSN Messenger and Voice conversations actively in the
classes. So my obvious question now: Have anyone filtered this before
and might know which ports need to be open for this to work.?
