We have a dedicated domain for the DMZ, with one-way-trust between the two domains. For DMZ subnets located at different locations, we have set up a meshed site-to-site VPN topology, so that DMZ servers at different sites can communicate among each-other and take advantage of the DMZ domain for authentication.
