well no TAC support for Pix 520 on 7.0 IOS.......but i suppose the IOS 7.0 works
fine on it...
just add 128 Mo SDRAM 100 or 133 Mhz on the PIX.

Selon "Paris E. Stone" <pstone@alhurra.com>:

You can get a CCO account if you have any piece of Cisco equipment that
is under a SmartNet maintenance agreement.

You will need the contract number from when it was purchased, ask your
purchasing folks, then go online to the CCO site, find the "create my
CCO account" page, and fill in the info.

A couple of days later, they will email you your information, which you
can use to go download the latest/greatest whatever OS.

Also, on the issues of the 520's not running 6.3, that is incorrect.
I run 6.3.2 on my 520 at home just fine.

I have heard that the 7.X release of PIX OS will not run on the 520's
when it comes out, but I can't verify that.

The 6.3.X works just fine for me on a 520.

Hi,

You must have a CCO PICA account to download, if you are not working at
a partner to Cisco.

You should be able to get a PICA account from your reseller if he is a
Partner to Cisco.
Then he can give you access to download software.

And just to mention - the PIX 520 cannot use PIX OS 6.3!
The PIX 520 is End-of-Life, and then there is not support at all for
this.

The newest PDM version is 3.02.
The newest PIX OS is version 6.3(4).

Cheers,

Hi,

PDM Version 3.0 is available on all PIX 501, PIX 506/506E, PIX
515/515E,
PIX 520, PIX 525, and PIX 535 platforms running PIX Firewall software
Version 6.3.

To access PDM from a browser, you must meet the following requirements:
1) Java script and java must be enabled (JDK version should be 1.1.4 or
higher).
2) Browser support for SSL must be enabled.

You must also enable the HTTP server on the pix firewall. You have to
specify the host or network authorized to initiate HTTP connection to
the firewall.

From browser access "https://<inside interface IP>" URL.

Now you can access PDM

No need download any security software.

2. I would like to use the PDM, however I can not download it from

Cisco. The PIX IOS is 6.3, but I'm not sure what else I need to take
advantage of the web based interface.

I think you need a CCO account to download any security software from

Cisco.

I have a CCO account, but it says the files are unavailable...
