Hi, It depends on what do you want to achieve. 1) If you want to build HA cluster (resp. fully automatic swich over), then the best you can do is to follow some of descibed Checkpoint HA scheme see documentation in cdrom:/Docs/Check Point Suite/ClusterXL.pdf. 2) If you want to be prepared only for the worst case like HW failure and you needn't automatic switch-over you can build Cold Backup FW. This expect you've installed management and fw module on differend PC's and that you'r using central licence generated for on management mondule IP. Then you can prepare spare computer with/without SPLAT installed on it and make backup of your management station (comand 'backup') each time you make some changes in policy. In the worst case you are able to recover either Management or Enforcement Module in cca 15-30min (it depends on state of your cold backup, CPU speed, HDD size and your training).
