In a nutshell, what is the difference between using the Cisco IOS firewall feature set and a "full blown" FW such as a PIX or other? Obviously a full FW may allow higher traffic volume, what are some main things I am missing? I have run some Nessus & Nmap scans against a 2611 with FW IDS for a client of mine and it shows much less than any other device I have ever scanned - I thought I was missing something until I found out about the IOS FW that is running. Thanks
