I can vouch for the Sygate solution. I have installed it for several companies and everyone loves it. There is nothing you can't do with it. For example, you can configure different security policies for different locations. So you could have a very restrictive one when you are connected to a WIFI hotspot and only allow only terminal services traffic over your VPN adapter while allowing Internet Explorer traffic through the WIFI adapter. There is also built in Intrusion Prevention with downloadable rules form Sygate. There is also a Patch enforcement element, where you can make sure that everyone accessing your network has a minimum patch version and you can also restrict versions of software that can access the network. You could allow only IE6 with the latest services packs, so a user trying to use IE5 would not be able to get access to any websites unless they upgraded. I hope this helps, and just for the record I do not work for Sygate........ You can group computers, set them up in a hierarchical fashion, log centrally and more. http://sygate.com David T. We have firewalls on the perimeter of the network; however, we need a solution for laptops and potentially all clients. We need a solution that can centrally manage over 1000 workstations. Any solutions you would recommend or experiences whether good or bad with the ones out there would be appreciated.
