if you are going to put firewalls across all clients, your help desk calls are sure to go through the roof. I am not aware of any solution which has central management for 1000 firewall engines. for a personal firewall(for a small number of mobile devices say), you can try CA's eTrust EZ Armor firewall. It comes free. you can download it from http://www.ca.com I havent used it personally, so I cant certify as to how good it is. suffice to say it also comes packaged with Microsoft security update CD (feb '04) - might indicate user friendliness and security to you, or maybe the opposite as well. my 2 cents Prasanna -----Original Message----- From: bsec@cotse.net To: firewalls@securityfocus.com Sent: 9/15/2004 11:22 PM Subject: Enterprise Personal Firewall Solution We're in the process of looking for a personal firewall solution to use within the corporate environment. We have firewalls on the perimeter of the network; however, we need a solution for laptops and potentially all clients. We need a solution that can centrally manage over 1000 workstations. Any solutions you would recommend or experiences whether good or bad with the ones out there would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, -Brett
