  Fire-Mouse TopList Cross Site Scripting
------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY

 <Fire-Mouse TopList> Fire-Mouse TopList is "all you need PHP backend for
your website, offering site listing, registration, vote buttons, etc". The
FM TopList product has been found to contain a cross site scripting
vulnerability that allows remote attackers to insert arbitrary HTML and/or
Javascript into the web site's content returned by the product.

DETAILS

Vulnerable Systems:
 *  Fire-Mouse TopList version 1.1

Input passed directly to the "Seitenname" parameter in "add.php" is not
properly sanitized before being returned to the user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser
session in context of an affected site. It works with a script code like
this:
'><script>alert('MajorSecurity')</script>

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitized. You
should work with "htmlspecialchars()" or "htmlentities()" php-function to
ensure that HTML tags are not going to be executed.

Example:
<?php
  $pass = htmlentities($_POST['pass']);
  echo htmlspecialchars("<script");
?>

Set "register_globals" to "Off".
