I disagree on the comments regarding certifications. If you talk to law enforcement personnel that have been through the FLETC SCERS training, and have subsequently obtained the SCERS certification, they will tell you that the training and test are by far more comprehensive than that offered in the CFCE training.
This is pure opinion, unfortunately. My experience with LE stateside has indicated a preference toward IACIS and CFCE.
I for one will be taking the CSFA this November. If you compare what is being tested between the CFCE/CCE and the CSFA, you'll see that the CSFA is more comprehensive and that it more closely mirrors an actual scenario.
Can you enlighten us as to what is included in CSFA that is not in CCE? I clicked on the link and reviewed the material, but it appears to be *very* similar to CCE. (Side note, I do know John, and I have taught my Linux Forensic courses through John's firm, but I believe I'm open minded and indy regarding certifications.)
There are knowledge areas being tested in the CSFA test that you will not find included in any other test currently.
Can you indicate these areas please? regards, farmerdude www.farmerdude.com
