Any recommendations on tools that will allow me to dig into 
past burn sessions on a multi-session CDROM? Something that 
runs on *nix would be best but I'm open to anything that I

Not sure what exactly you're saying with "past burn sessions," but for
multisession in Linux:

'readcd' comes with the cdrecord/crdtools package and should be available on
all UNIX-like OSes.  CDFS is a Linux driver that can access each session as
a seperate ISO image.
