One of the list members wrote to our moderator email address with this comment. I would have to agree with him that the CISSP is oriented towards computer security. Though several domains deal with information technology management issues such as risk assessment, policy and procedure, business continuity / disaster recovery, and legal issues, all of the domains are geared towards protecting computer infrastructure. If a person has solely a Physical Security background, I would suggest that you consider obtaining a certification from ASIS International such as the Certified Protection Professional or the Physical Security Professional.
