I just took mine last Saturday and it was just as stated below. Take a jacket with you ? I was lucky enough to sit under the one AC vent in the testing room, thought I was lucky until I all but lost feeling in my body ½ hour into the test.. I know that they say test results will be emailed (pass or fail (fail with lacking areas?)) in 4 ? 6 weeks, how long did it take to receive a response for those of you here who have already taken it? In my world, nothing takes that long, but you never know! Thanks everyone! I hope somebody would care answering; 1- I have read from the website that it is a six hour test with 250 questions. The test is paper based. Is there any break within this six hour period? Is there no computer based test for this? A. There was no computer based test when I took it. People could be escorted one at a time to the rest rooms. Otherwise no break. 2- Is there any laboratory examination or just a paper test only? A. Paper, no lab. 3- For how long is this certification valid? Do I need to keep taking the test every couple of years to keep the certification? A. Three years. You don't need to retake if you get enough CPEs. See the www.isc2.org site for details on CPEs. If you don't have sufficient CPEs, you can retake the test. 4- From the exam locator on isc2 website, country name Pakistan is not in the list! Do I have to travel to another country to take the test? No alternative to take the test in my own country? A. The sites listed are the sites available. Sometimes some are added, so keep checking. Also, you could contact ISC2.org to find out if there will be a test in Pakistan. *** The information in this e-mail is confidential and intended solely for the individual or entity to whom it is addressed.
