[CISSP-D] BS7799-3 Published by BSI

Subject: [CISSP-D] BS7799-3 Published by BSI
Date: Fri, 17 Mar 2006 17:57:11 -0000
It came out yesterday (Thursday 16th):

"The new security standard from BSI, BS7799 3, has been published
today. This is titled "Guidelines for Information Security Risk
Management", and supports the much more general security management
standard, ISO 27001, which was published last October."

The contents are:
1. Scope
2. References
3. Definitions
4. Risk in the organization setting
5. Risk assessment
6. Decision making
7. On going risk management

And it is available immediately from the BSI online distributor:
http://17799.standardsdirect.org/bs7799.htm
Or in the toolkit (http://www.27005.net ).

I guess it will take time to have an impact, just as BS7799-1 and
BS7799-2 did, but I am sure it will eventually.

I hope it's of interest.
