CISSPs,

The holistic security course/cert detailed below looks promising. It
includes elements of several standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 17799:2005, COBIT and
COSO). The instructor biographies are also impressive
(http://www.efortresses.com/training.htm).

Have any of you been exposed to this training?

Kind regards,

Gideon

Gideon,

Thanks for your prompt response and your interest in our HISP Associate
Program.

Find below some additional information regarding our HISP Class:

* Holistic Information Security Practitioner (HISP) certification course:

This certification course has been promoted by the local chapters of ISSA
(Information Systems Security Association) and ISACA (Information Systems
Audit and Control Association) and this class earns 35 CPE's for each
attendee.

This is the only class available today that provides practical education in
best practices for Information Security Management, Information Systems
Auditing and multiple Regulatory Compliance requirements and how to map
multiple regulatory requirements to the internationally accepted best
practices framework of ISO 17799. The class covers ISO/IEC 17799:2005,
COBIT and COSO, then explains a methodology to map regulations such as
Sarbanes-Oxley Act, HIPAA Security, GLB Act, California SB-1386, FISMA
(NIST 800-53/FIPS 200), FACT Act, Visa CISP/PCI to the ISO 17799:2005
framework.

Attendees will gain the knowledge to help their companies or clients
implement processes, procedures and policies, for a solid information
security governance program, compliant with the requirements of ISO/IEC
17799:2005 and ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification plus compliance with
applicable regulations. Attendees will also be provided the option of
taking the HISP certification test on the final day of the class.

We are gaining a lot of traction with our HISP certification course, as a
testament to the success and value of our training program, last year, we
delivered a private training to one of the largest Financial Services
organizations in the world, involving about 30 of their Information
Security Officers, based on our HISP certification course curriculum.

We successfully held 4 public and 1 private HISP classes in Atlanta last
year and have scheduled our next class in Atlanta for March 20-24 and still
have a few seats left, if you are interested?

I have attached the following files for your review:
- The HISP defined (contains information regarding the Associate Track)
- HISP Testimonials
- HISP Course Outline
- 2006 HISP Calender

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Taiye.
