Yes we can.  A risk assessment will identify the threats to your
environment.  So the results can be used as input into your disaster
recovery planning.  A business impact assessment, which is the first
phase in planning for business continuity and disaster recovery, is a
type of risk assessment.  Additionally, a risk assessment will also look
at your current DR plan and process to identify if you are at risk due
to insufficient planning.
