[CISSP-D] Change Management vs. Configuration Management vs. Change Cont

Subject: [CISSP-D] Change Management vs. Configuration Management vs. Change Control Management
Date: Mon, 04 Jul 2005 03:00:49 -0000
Hi,

Is Change Management part of Configuration Management or otherwise? Is
Change Management synonymous to Change Control Management?

My understanding is that in order for me to implement a configuration
management process, i have to have a change management procedure to
handle changes (who, what, when, where) throughout a product
lifecycle. On top of this, configuration management keeps track of
the history of those changes.

Can you help me better understand this concept. Appreciate any info.

thanks.

All the best,
bahaw
