The (ISC)2 has a level of entry called, Associate of (ISC)2. You can take
the CISSP exam without meeting the experience requirements. When you pass
the exam you become be an Associate. Once the exam is passed, an Associate
has 5 years to gain the required experience. When the experience is earned,
you can apply for the certification of CISSP.

My comments about the Associate certification are brief. You'll find more
details and requirements on the ISC web site.

This is just my curiosity at work: how did you get a CISSP without
hands-on experience? I know guys who have spent 5-6 years full-time in
IT and couldn't get the experience. I don't understand why you aren't
working full time in IT. It's confusing.
