[CISSP-D] Dreamimg CISSP dreams

Hello All,

I have for the past week been thinking about CISSP certification, and
the more i read the more dissapointed i get, not because of the exam
itself but because of its pre requisites.

You see I am an SCEA (Sun certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE),
have been for the past 2 years, been in IT for 8 years and in
architecture and design for the past 4. I have worked very closely
with security modelling and implementation for years now, but my
primary role is that of a solution architect.

The reason i am thinking CISSP is because i want to a) gain indepth
security knowledge b) prove to employers that i have the same.

I know there are a lot of exams for security out there, but none have
the respect and/or value of CISSP.

Question is, will this experience i have as architect be counted?

Should i be thinking CISSP in the first place, will CISSP help me be a
better architect?

I do not intend to be a dedicated security pro, i love architecture,
and that is where i am good (even if i say so myself ;) BUT security
is such a big aspect of any solution. Having this certification will
definately help, IMHO.

Please advise!!!!!
