Hi All,
I took CISSP sept 25 and got pass notification one
week later. I have sent all required materials to
(ISC)2 and am waiting for the certificate. Here is my
experience, hopefully can be helpful to some
prospective exam taker.
I studied CISSP for one and half an hour every day for
three months and three full days before the exam. I
used following books and highly recommend Shon Harris'
one.
1. Read Shon Harris' CISSP all-in-one exam guide
multiple times
2. Read Ronald Krutz's the CISSP prep guide once
before exam.
3. Cover mock exam coming with Shon Harris book
thoroughly.
4. Scan through interesting discussion thread in this
group and some study material posted to this group.
5. Google is your friend, search for any topic that
you are not familiar with while preparing.
To be frank, there is no book or study material
covering exactly what CISSP exam does. To make the
thing even more discouraging is the vagueness of CISSP
exam's questions. My suggestion to prospective exam
taker is to develop the security mind set and think
like a security manager and security engineer and
apply it accordingly while taking CISSP exam.
Happy preparing for CISSP exam!!
Wesley
